ABSTRACT:
Modern research is increasingly complex and demands an ever widening range of skills. Often, no single individual is able to provides all required knowledge, skills, and techniques. Globally, there is an urgent call to explore an practical model for Interdisciplinary Innovative Design Research (IIDR). This seminar intends to confer an approach for establishing a relatively enclose, yet also dynamic ecologic system that supports the most productive innovation and research activities through a proposed project: SeRe-IV.
BIO:
Stephen Jia Wang (DocFA MA MA BA) works in the Department of Design at Monash University as a Senior Lecturer, Director of International Tangible Interaction Design Lab (ITIDLab), and Program Leader of Interaction Design. He has an integrated background across the fields of industrial design, interaction design, and architectural design. His design practice focuses on interactive installations, interactive controlling systems and informational products. Before this position, he has been working as Specially-appointed Professor at Tokyo Zokei University (Japan), Senior Lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology (Australia), lecturer of at Monash University, and professional designer at several design consulting firms.
