Outline:

3Worlds is an interdisciplinary research project which aims to produce a simulation and modelling software platform for ecology and environmental sciences (http://threeworlds.biologie.ens.fr/). The project received funding from the French Agency of National Research.

Goals of this project

We have several projects available as part of 3Worlds covering areas such as graph databases, user interface, distributed simulation and dealing with large datasets.

Requirements/Prerequisites

Demonstrated ability to apply sound software development practices and to program in Java within a Unix/Linux environment.

Student Gain

  • ability to plan and execute the testing of distributed computing systems
