Summer programs

The Summer Programs offered by the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science are a great opportunity to meet and work with academic staff on real research projects and get a taste of what it is like to undertake a research degree. Some of our graduate research students find out about us by taking part in our summer scholars program or one of our summer schools.

Summer Research Scholars

Summer Research Scholarships are designed for talented students from ANU and other tertiary institutions considering undertaking postgraduate research in the future. They are an excellent opportunity to carry out research under the supervision of researchers based in the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science and National ICT Australia (NICTA), utilising facilities and materials not readily available elsewhere.

The scholarship gives you the opportunity to stretch your academic and personal boundaries by undertaking your own research project during an eight week summer program.

Join us between Monday 23 November 2015 to Friday 22 January 2016 and enjoy working on an exciting research project. You can choose your project for 2015/16 here. Take advantage of the chance to work with some of the world's leading engineers and computer scientists at ANU and NICTA. We provide full board, a tax-free allowance and return travel.

The scholarship package including accomodation, travel reimbursement and a weekly living allowance of $135.00 per weekgives you the opportunity to stretch your academic and personal boundaries by undertaking research projects and activities during the summer program.

The scholarships are offered each year to third or final year undergraduate students, including Honours students, who are currently enrolled at Australian or New Zealand universities and are interested in pursuing Honours or a higher degree by research. Other students, including postgraduate students, may be considered at the discretion of the college.

Applications open 1 August 2015 and close on 31 August 2015
